Adult Bible Fellowships
2008 Winter Quarter
Sunday Mornings, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
(January - March)

Some ongoing Adult Bible Fellowships offer opportunities for similar-aged individuals to meet for learning, sharing, caring and prayer. Other Bible studies and topical Adult Bible Fellowships are also offered. If you need help in finding a class that's right for you, or if you have interest in a specific topic, contact David Carden, Pastor of Discipleship.

Please Note: The age demographics included are not meant to be limiting. You are welcome to participate in any of the classes listed below.

Ambassadors For Christ
Paul Livermore, facilitator
Friendship Center

The Ambassadors will focus on the wisdom literature of the Old Testament and the application to life today. Topics will include prayer, Bible reading, worship, fasting, fellowship, and hospitality. There will also be opportunity for home fellowship connections, game nights, and group dinners.

Bible Explorers
Bill Roushey, facilitator
Room 137 (Education Wing)

This winter the Bible Explorers will study the life of King David as outlined in 1 Samuel.

Bible Navigators
Paul Ludington, facilitator
Room 141 (Education Wing)

Bible Navigators will take an in-depth look at the book of Daniel and its great truths, concrete examples of people who did the right thing, and extensive passages of prophesy. Through application of the Word, the class will be challenged to live spiritually disciplined lives of integrity.

The Encouragers
Chuck Bauer, facilitator
Room 136 (Education Wing)

This class will leap into fall studying the heroes of faith as found in Hebrews chapter 11. As these spiritual giants are studied, lessons will be drawn from their lives and applied to ours, that we might greatly increase the chances of winning in the game of life.

Faithweavers

Ralph and Michelle Kerr, facilitators
Room 139 (Education Wing)

Faithweavers will be focusing on a book discussion of Scream-Free Parenting. As the class progresses, facilitating responsibilities will be shared among class members.

FOCUS (Followers of Christ United in Service)
Mike Vannest, facilitator
Room 138 (Education Wing)

FOCUS is doing a Biblical study based on the book, Don't Waste Your Life, by John Piper. Additional events throughout the year may include community activities such as potlucks and road rallies.

Gospel Mariners
Miles Nelson, facilitator
Room 134 (Education Wing)

The topic for teaching and discussion will be on the life of Peter.

Solomon's Colonnade
Joe Hennigan, facilitators
Parlor (Office Wing)

Derived from Paul's description of the outside room of the temple, Solomon's Colonnade is a place for people to meet, study the scriptures, pray, and fellowship together. While the group primarily caters to young adults, everyone is welcome. This winter quarter we will be studying the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians using a study guide by Max Lucado.

Son Seekers
Jim Morton and James Kerwin, facilitators
Room 81 (Education Wing, Lower Level)

Through a discussion-based format, this mixed group of adults come together to study God's Word and lift each other up in prayer. Various socials throughout the year help grow relationships in our walk with the Son. This winter, we will be looking at a "Tough Question of the Week" along with studying the books of 1 & 2 Timothy.
