A team of men from Pearce have been meeting each Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m. to pray, to encourage each other in their walk of faith, and to seek ways of accomplishing Jesus' purpose for ministry. Their biblical mandate is to "walk with men and equip them in their journey with Christ." Here are some visible signs of recent activity in the area of Men's Ministries.

A men's newsletter entitled, "The Trail Guide" is periodically made available to the men of Pearce.

Church-sponsored events like the Sportsmen's dinner, Pearce Golf Tournament, and the Men's Steak Fry.

Support groups have met to provide a greater understanding of sexual temptation issues for men.

Fifteen of our men attended the Promise Keepers event July 22-23. It was an inspiring two days of over 7,000 men gathered in an arena in Cleveland for a great worship and learning experience peppered with laughter. Here are a few comments by some of our guys: "... a great opportunity to grow closer to Christ and form lasting bonds with the men from Pearce" and "... a life changing event."

Including our leadership team, we have four men's breakfast meetings each week. Each of these groups provide opportunities for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer support.

We have reached the half way point in our Men's Fraternity, "The Quest For Authentic Manhood". Now is a GREAT time to jump into this very cool experience. This is not a Bible study, but rather a sharing of concepts based on biblical principles. "Men's Fraternity" will be hosted at Pearce Church and will be promoted as a community opportunity for men of all ages and backgrounds. The men will meet on Friday mornings beginning at 6:00 a.m. and will end promptly at 7:30 a.m.

The Democrat and Chronicle ran an article on July 24 which examined why men are reluctant to attend churches. Our Pearce men's ministry was highlighted as a big step in making the church relevant to men's lives.

If you have any questions or would like to talk with someone concerning any of our men's ministries, contact Norm Everett, Director of Men's Ministries.
