Pearce Artists are people from Pearce who create works of art (music, drama, video, paintings, etc.). We create these works for various Sunday morning purposes like singing new songs, acting out stories, or beautifully depicting an attribute of God. Please check out the links below to see and hear our creations. Also, go to our Facebook© fan page to post a comment or join a discussion about one of our works of art. If you'd like to join our group of worshiping artists by submitting a work of art, please click on Submit Art or Contact Tim for further questions. |

“When morning gilds the skies my heart awakening cries: may Jesus Christ be praised!” So begins the hymn When Morning Gilds the Skies. Though the author is unknown, the tune, Laudes Domini, was written specifically for the text by nineteenth-century composer Sir Joseph Barnby. Says composer Daniel Barta about this setting: “Like the dawn, the tune slowly emerges and grows to an emblazoned conclusion.” The performers are Anne Martindale Williams (Principal Cellist, Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra) and pianist Paul Jones (Music Director, Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, PA). Enjoy!

On Palm Sunday, 2010, people from Pearce came together to tell the story of Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection. This video gives a brief look into what went on that morning during our Sunday services. Because of copyright laws we have not posted the actual songs from the morning services. However, we hope you are able to see a multi-generational congregation of people who love Jesus. Also, we hope you are able to see the beautiful artistic work of Pearce people who designed the stage, directed the choirs, designed and ran the lights, and contributed in so many other ways. If you would like to hear some songs from that morning, look for See What A Morning and Behold the Lamb by Stuart Townend.

At the 11:15 a.m. worship service on January 3, 2011, the congregation expressed our thanks to David Anderson for his many years of music ministry. All of us have so appreciated Dave's inspired piano playing over more than four decades. This video is an expression of our deep gratitude to him.

On November 29, 2009, Pastor Wally Fleming preached from Revelation chapter 5 that speaks about a scroll and a lamb. In the passage, the apostle John weeps because no one is worthy to open the scroll (Revelation 5:4). But then John sees the Lamb of God, who is Jesus Christ. He is able to open the scroll. Once He is realized, the heavenly hosts offer prayers (bowls of incense) and praises. In this print by Joanna Poag she depicts this heavenly drama in Revelation chapter 5, from John’s sorrow, to heaven’s joy as the Lamb of God is realized – He is worthy to open the scrolls! |
