Our Purpose

Kids matter to God and they matter to the Pearce Church family. The purpose of Kid’s Ministry @ Pearce is to share the love of Jesus with them and guide them into a lifelong relationship with Him. We desire to partner with parents in laying a spiritual foundation.

Sundays

Nursery

Nursery is provided for children from infants to age four during the two worship services on Sundays. Available for each parent is a beeper which makes it easy for our nursery staff to locate a parent quickly if a need arises.

Sunday School

9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

We provide Sunday school classes for our preschoolers in the nursery wing. There is a class for two and three-year olds as well as a class for four-year olds. Kids in grades kindergarten through sixth grade are divided into grade-level groups to learn Bible stories, apply Christian truths to their lives, and for fellowship.

Kids’ Worship

From September to June, during the10:30 a.m. worship services, children from the ages of five through fourth grade are dismissed from the service for a time of worship and teaching geared to their ages. Here at Pearce we believe in the family worshiping together. The kids start out in the main sanctuary to worship with their families. After a time of worship, the children will be dismissed for a time of teaching. There will be Sundays throughout the year where the children will stay for the whole service, including communion, holidays, special events, and during summer months. . For those times we will provide KIDS’ BAGS. These bags contain activities for the children to do during the sermon time which coincide with the pastor’s message.

Wednesdays

10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.– Family Life Center

Following the local school calendar (with the exception of a couple of Wednesdays), we open our gym up to preschoolers and their caregivers from our church as well as the community. Children under the supervision of their caregivers can come for an hour of play.

Kids’ Zone

6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.on Wednesday evenings (September – April)

Kids’ Zone is a fun night where kids in kindergarten through sixth grade can connect and build relationships with each other as they grow in relationship to Jesus.

Kindergarten through fourth graders will meet in Parmerter to begin their night together with prayer, music, drama and story time. The group will then divide for the last hour (kindergarten through first and second through fourth) to do crafts, games, service projects and age-appropriate activities.
Collide 56 (Grades 5 and 6) is an interactive program that engages kids of this age in fun learning. There is a time of games, drama, devotions, and a snack.
Nursery is provided for infants through age four for parents who are participating in other Pearce ministries on Wednesday evening.

Other Programs

Christmas Musical

Children in first through sixth grades perform a Christmas musical for the church and community in mid-December. Designated practice times are on Saturdays throughout the Fall. Please call the church for details of how your child can be involved.
