Sue Smout: Nursery School Teacher

• BS Elementary Education (Greenville College)
• MS Elementary Curriculum (SUNY Brockport)
• 12 years experience in early childhood education
• Joined P4K in September 1994 – during that time she developed the Pre-Kindergarten class that we have today.
• Left P4K in June 2001 to become a site director and Kindergarten teacher at another center. Most recently she has been teaching Universal Pre-K. She is excited to be returning to P4K.
• Personal: 2 daughters, Haley age 5 and Kristina age 2, both who will be attending the P4K programs

Rebecca Johnson: Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

• BS in Elementary Education (Roberts Wesleyan College)
• Has worked at Pearce 4 Kids since 2000, when she worked in the after school program while in college.
• Teaching Experience at P4K includes: Assistant teacher in the Extended Kindergarten program, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Nursery School Teacher, School Age Summer CAMP Program Coordinator

Mary Kennedy: Nursery School Aid (Tuesday, Thursday Classes)

• BS Elementary Education (Roberts Wesleyan College)
• Has 23 years of substitute teaching, in home child care and assisting in Nursery School
• Joined P4K Nursery School in 1999 as the Tuesday/Thursday teacher assistant and currently holds that same position
• Personal: Married 25 years to Dan, an Environmental Analyst/Site Remediation Coordinator with Rochester Gas and Electric. Mary and Dan have three children, all three of whom graduated from the Pearce Nursery School! She has been a member of Pearce since 1986 and has served as a volunteer in many areas, most recently as part of the Senior High leadership team.

Vicki Purtell: Pre-K Aid/Nursery School Aid (Mon/Wed/Fri PM)

• Churchville-Chili Graduate
• 1 Year at King’s College
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Experience includes:
  • 3 years in-home childcare provider
  • 5 years Sunday School teacher (4 years in preschool, 1 year in 1^st grade)
  • 4 years as leader with middle school age children

• Married w/ 4 children
• Personal: Has attended PMC for over 11 years & is actively involved in Sunday and Wednesday evening programs, food cupboard ministry and music/drama ministry.

Beth Antes: P4K Registrar/Bookkeeper

• BS in Marketing (University of Cincinnati)
• Joined P4K as bookkeeper in 1998
• Personal: Married to Bob Antes, facilities director at Pearce Church. She has two adult sons; Jeff who has also worked for P4K after school and CAMP and who graduated from RWC in 2006, and Kevin who attends Grove City College.

Lydia Monroe: P4K Director

• BA in Social Work (Asbury College)
• Masters in Christian Education (Asbury Theological Seminary)
• Began at Pearce in the fall of 1991 as the After School Director. Moved in to the position of Children’s Pastor in the spring of 1992. In that position oversaw the after school, nursery school, children’s Sunday school, nursery and all other programming involving children. Oversaw the development of the day care, which opened in the fall of 1997.
• “Retired” in January 1998 to stay home and raise Abby & Aaron
• Returned to P4K as director in January 2005
• Personal: Married to John, a software tester with Thomson West Group. They have 2 children, both who attend the after school and CAMP.
