Linked with Love
This weekend, Pearce will be inaugurating our partnership with the Nzige preschool in Rwanda. Our worship services will celebrate this new initiative and I hope you’ll join us. To highlight this “Linked with Love” partnership, we’re holding a single worship service on Sunday, gathering at 10:30am. (Our Saturday service will be held at 5pm.)
Proud to be Dads
Pastor Kathy sent me this photo from last Sunday morning. It is good to see that Pearce dads are proud to participate in the nurturing of their young children. Pictured with their children are, from left to right, Cary Marshall, Chris Davison, and Ben Hays.
A Double Blessing
Another photo from this past Sunday is of the dedication of Chris and Kristina Davison’s twins, Gabriella and Grant. I feel privileged to participate in these special moments! This dedication was notable in that Gabriella was deeply sleeping throughout the dedication, waking for only a brief moment as captured in this photo. Grant, on the other hand, was fully awake the entire time and appeared to take everything in.
Hearing Voices of Lament
Next Wednesday, May 6, Dr. Richard Middleton will be presenting a seminar entitled “A Spirituality of the Ragged Edges: The Lament Psalms as a Resource in Times of Trouble.” (You may recall that this seminar was originally scheduled for last December, but a sudden snowstorm forced the cancellation of events at Pearce that evening.)
