I cannot believe how fast fall has come upon us! I want to update you on what is happening in our kids’ ministry. The big change is regarding nursery and Kid’s Worship. Little Kids’ Worship, for 4 & 5-year-olds/Kindergarteners, will meet on Sundays in the Blue Room (nursery wing) during the 10:30 worship service. Kindergarten is a big transition year. We believe allowing the kids to be in their own program during the worship service is a great option, as some kindergarteners are not quite ready to sit through an entire service.
Please note that the 4-year-old Sunday school class will be held in the Blue Room (nursery wing). The Kindergarten/1st Grade Sunday school class will meet in Room 36 (pre-school wing—yellow door). If you would like your Kindergartener to attend Little Kid’s Worship after Sunday school, you will need to sign them out of their Sunday school class, take them to the nursery wing, and sign them into Little Kid’s Worship.
I am also excited about our Wednesday night kids’ programs that meet from 6:30-8pm. Again, the 4 & 5-year-olds/Kindergarteners are meeting in the nursery wing. Grades 1-4 meet in Parmerter Chapel for nights of fun games every fourth week, followed by three weeks of movie theater night featuring Superbook Explorer—an exciting new video series that brings God’s Word to life. Downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and Room 67, our 5th & 6th graders meet to have fun and grow in Christian community.
We have a fun year planned and want the kids of Pearce to experience intergenerational faith, learning through our Family Nights and worship services, as well as having opportunities to learn the story of scripture with their own age group through Wednesday night programs and Sunday school.
Pearce has an amazing team of adults (young and old) who are teaming up to be teachers and leaders with our kids. Please be praying for Pearce Kids’ Ministry. If you have any questions, please contact me or Rita Dean, Pearce’s nursery coordinator.
