Welcome to Maker Fun Factory VBS!

June 26-29, 2017 | 9am-12pm

At Maker Fun Factory VBS, kids discover not only that God made them the way they are, but for a purpose too. Maker Fun Factory is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos™, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.) Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!

We’re so glad you’ve signed your child up for an exciting week at Maker Fun Factory VBS. Pre-school and elementary kids will be placed in small groups, called crews. These crews are led by adults or teenagers who love children and love the Lord. Crews are an important part of Maker Fun Factory VBS! Since Maker Fun Factory doesn’t rely on more traditional teaching methods (like fill-in-the-blank puzzles or word searches), kids experience Bible stories in powerful, life-changing ways. At Maker Fun Factory, kids learn one important Bible Point each day. Instead of trying to teach kids more than they can remember or apply, Maker Fun Factory focuses on one key biblical concept. The Bible Point is reinforced daily through Bible adventures, key Bible verses, songs, and hands-on activities that help kids know more about their Maker—God. Then Crew Leaders gather with kids for small-group discussions including questions that apply to every child but may touch each child at a different level.

Mission Projects

At Maker Fun Factory VBS, we will receive an offering each day to benefit the preschool in Nzige, Rwanda. (You may remember that last year, our VBS crews raised money to help build new classrooms at the Nzige School.) Click here to find out exactly what we'll be raising money for!

In addition to our overseas mission project, we will be collecting donations for the Pearce Food Cupboard that provides non-perishable food and personal care items to those in need in our church and community throughout the year. The items we will be collecting at VBS are baked beans, canned peas, canned soup, peanut butter, Kleenex, and toothbrushes.
