Christmas—a time of blessing. So much to be grateful for.
Ellen and I thank our God of unfailing love for His unexpected and undeserved blessing to serve as your lead pastor. Though surprised, God’s call was clear, and our lives are richly blessed to serve with you as we share this heartfelt desire to look, live, and love like Jesus.
Ellen and I thank you for sharing in our daily “Pray for One.” It continues to enrich our lives as we see God at work through simple obedience to His prompting. Just the other day, as Ellen was driving in the snow, she saw an elderly woman trying to push snow and stay on her feet. Ellen stopped, made a new friend, and helped to push the snow from her driveway.
Ellen and I give thanks to our God of unfailing love for this generously loving congregation. We see God at work in your love for Him, for one another, and for His cherished missing.
Ellen and I give thanks for the dedicated and gifted staff, clergy and lay, paid and volunteer, who selflessly help us live out our call to be and make disciples of Jesus that love God and neighbor.
Ellen and I give thanks for the joyful celebration of worship every weekend. This blessing of worship is more than the extraordinarily excellent music from the platform; it is the heart for God rising out of the pews and chairs, giving heartfelt praise to our God of unfailing love.
Ellen and I give thanks to those who have faithfully gathered every Wednesday evening for prayer. We give thanks that this is a praying church. We pray; God works.
As we celebrate this Christmas season together, there is much to be grateful for. To each of you, and on behalf of all who will find a friend in Jesus and a home at Pearce in this New Year, we say from the depths of our hearts—thank you! May your Christmas overflow with the great joy and peace found only in our God of unfailing love!
