Pearce Church: who are we and why are we here?
As we read the Bible and listen to the hearts of one another, we believe we are here to accept and share God’s invitation. An invitation to a vision – to look, live, and love like Jesus—with a mission—to be and make disciples of Jesus that love God and neighbor, and a strategy—worship, community, service!
So, where do we begin?
Pray for One: As our eyes open and before our feet hit the floor, we pray, “God if there is anyone crying out in desperation wanting to know if you are real, if you care and if you are listening, please send me to show them Your love!”
And this weekend, we introduce Pray for One 201. As you arrive for worship this weekend at each of our services, you will receive a Pray for One 201 card. We invite each of us to take at least one card and ask our God of unfailing love whose name He wants us to write in. Ask God to show you a person in need of His forgiveness, healing, or freedom. We invite you to carry this Pray for One 201 card every day and pray through the day for this person God puts on your heart.
Invite them to join you for a meal, or coffee, or to share in a fun life experience. Invite them to join you in serving others. Invite them to join you in a Journey Group (whether a Sunday Class or a Small Group). Invite them to join you in worship.
Imagine what will happen in hearts and homes across the westside of Rochester as our God of unfailing love answers these prayers!
This is who we are and why we are here: for such a time as this!
