The Christmas dinner table—it’s a staple of our holiday season here in America, but there’s an even more important table Christmas invites us to gather around: the table of Jesus. You belong at that table. When Jesus stepped down to earth as a baby born into poverty, he simultaneously pulled out a chair and declared to all, “you are welcome here.” This Christmas, let’s come together at the ultimate Christmas Table where we can encounter the love of Jesus. Come and sit with us!
This weekend, December 15 & 16, Pastor Roger will continue our Advent sermon series, bringing the message, “The Table,” from Matthew 2:1-12. We’ll also receive a special exit offering after each service to go to Clear Blue Global Water Project. Clear Blue exists to provide clean, safe water to desperately needy locations (clearblueproject.com).
Next weekend, December 22 & 23, Pastor Kayleigh will continue our Advent sermon series, bringing the message, “Love All,” from Luke 2:25-38. We’ll be blessed by the music of our children’s choir in Sunday worship services, and Holy Communion will be served in all weekend worship services. Al & Stacy Anderson will also be with us next weekend, and they’ll share an update on their ministry with Young Life in Europe. The Andersons are home visiting family for the holidays, and we’re excited to have them with us!
