Hi Friends—Children’s Sunday School is back starting this Sunday at 10am! It is now called Journey Kids and it will be an amazing hour. I have invited Pastor Kayleigh to use the rest of my blog to share her heart on this exciting relaunch for our children and families! (more…)
Parents, did you know that our children’s Sunday school program, for kids in K-6th grade, is back up and running again? Drop your kids off in Parmerter Chapel (our temporary location), at 10am for Journey Kids, where kids come together for a large group worship experience and where K-5th graders are connected to small group leaders who will journey with them as they grow to look, live, and love like Jesus. 6th graders will discover how to use their gifts to serve as leaders in training. Our baby and preschool version of Journey Kids is also taking place in the nursery wing, for infants through age 5.
Small Groups for teens (7th-12th grade) continue this Sunday at 10am in the teen area. Join us as we grow to look, live, and love like Jesus! Then come back for Wednesday night Teen Ministry at 6:30pm as we continue our series: “Make it a Habit.” Make sure to bring your friends!
Two positions are open in our maintenance and custodial staff.
The first available position is a part-time cleaner, Monday-Friday (days may vary), from approximately 6-9pm. Weekend hours may also be needed, hours and need would vary. In general, this is an 8-15 hour/week position. Duties include cleaning and set-up/tear down of tables and chairs for ministry events and may also include snow shoveling or raking. This position is ideal for a high school or college student or a retiree.
The second available position is a full-time evening supervisor, to work with and oversee the evening and weekend cleaning crew. This is a staff position that would require some mechanical ability. Candidate must take ownership for set-up/tear down for events, schedule the staff, oversee all evening and weekend custodial staff, and be responsible to close and secure the building.
Interested persons should send their resume to Bob Antes at email@example.com. Call Bob at 585-594-9488 with questions.
We invite you to join us in our “Pray for One” initiative. As we awaken each morning, before our feet hit the floor, we are asking our God of unfailing love to show us one person that needs to know and see His love today. And as we launch into the adventure of the day, we keep listening to that still small voice to show us our opportunity to share His unfailing love. We look forward to hearing many stories of how the Lord is moving in our Pearce family.
When God Left the Building is a documentary about to be released. This is a story of the exodus of America’s faithful and what’s next. Director Thom Schultz set out on a journey to uncover why churches—once the heart and soul of their communities—are now shrinking in both size and influence. Sadly, there are parts of this that strike close to home even for our beloved church here at Pearce. (more…)
