Isn’t it interesting that some things only come to life after we allow them to die? Ellen’s gnarly looking, lifeless bulbs planted in the near frozen ground of the fall become spring’s colorful, beautiful tulips!

Jesus said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” (Matthew 16:24-25 NLT)

So too with our dreams. Ellen and I have our dreams of what we would like to do for God and dreams of what we would like God to do for us. But alas, we lay those dreams down at the altar of God’s will so that if they are to have life, it will be with His blessing.

Endless grace—embrace the promise! “God gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.” (Jim Elliot)
