We are not free of our fears until we face our fears. And where is God as we face our fears? God shows up to speak to our fears! And what does our God of unfailing love want to speak into our fears? He gently says, “Don’t be afraid. I will protect you. And I am your blessing!”
But what about when God seems slow to respond? When we are caught in the middle of the wanting and the waiting? When we find ourselves talking back to God in those “Yes, but…” conversations?
It is especially in those moments our God of unfailing love says, “Look up! Count the stars…if you can. I will fulfill every promise I have made.”
Our hearts can be “set right with God” (become righteous) as we believe that God will do everything He has said.
And so, as we face our fears, as we wait for God when He seems slow to respond, as we look up at the stars, daring to believe our God of unfailing love, we are invited to count our blessings. Name them one by one. Count our many blessings. See what God has done.
